My gifts of Thanks

My goal (see post below) is to get 250 monetary gifts for 3 families I am trying to help.

If you would like to help, plus possibly receive a nice little gift of thanks, please see the info you need in the "My Goal" post.

My Thank you gifts will be as follows:

The 15th monetary gift received = a $5.00 Target Gift Card
The 30th monetray gift received = a $5.00 Target Gift Card
The 60th monetray gift received = a Brand New ChefMate 2 slice toaster ($10.00 Value)
The 150th monetary gift received = a brand new KitchenAid Sinkware Set ($30.00 Value)
The 240th monetary gift received = a brand new Rival 16 qt. Roaster Oven ($30.00 Value).

All items are brand new, never used, still have owner manuals (if they were included from manufacturer originally) and original packaging inside and out.

Please note, if you are the receiver of any of the gifts listed above, you agree to have your FIRST name only posted here on this blog. We would also, like to invite you to write a blurp for this page as well upon receving your thank you gift.

My Goal

My goal is to get 250 monetary gifts for the 3 families listed below, in the other posts (Please read about them).

The amount doesn't matter at all. $250.00 could sure help with a couple of bills, buy a couple of outfits, whatever the greatest need is them. It will be divided equally amongst them (unless there is a particular family you want to help). So anything from $1.00 up would be so greatly appreciated.

At this time, I can not accept checks, money order's or cashier's checks, due to possible fraud or NSF (my account can't handle financial blows).

Please send the following information:

Name (First name is only needed at this time)
Email (So if you are to be the receiver of the gifts I am giving, I can notify you and get mailing information for your gift.) *I will not email you, unless you are to receive the gift, I will not sell or share your email information. All info is shredded when no longer needed for the purpose of possibly receiving a gift*
Which family to help? 1, 2, 3 or ALL.

and monetary gift to:

The Owens
66 Palomino Cir
Boca Raton, Fl. 33487

Also, I only ship within the 48 contiguous states. It will be shipped either via USPS, Fed Ex, or UPS. There is no additional shipping costs, that's all part of the gift. It will be shipped the least expensive method.

Helping

I love helping these families in any way I can. Of course, there's only so much I can do. I have been in tight spots, and am so thankful for when other's have come to my aid. I'm not well, off, far from it, but I am in a position right now, where I make a modest living, have a secure roof over my head, am able to put food on the table 3 times a day for my family. We are even able to go do an extra activity now and then (movie, mini golf, ice cream, out to dinner, etc.). There was a time we couldn't even do these types of things.

In turn for the kindness and help others showed us, I wanted to turn around and help others, and I have, I will continue to do so, as well.

But, I want to say an extra thank you to all those out there that want to help. Now, I can't possibly thank each and every person, but if you read the post above this one, these are the ways I have to thank some folks.

Families-Part Three

#3) Mom and 2 boys. Their apartment is almost bare, with the exception of a small colored TV, some clothes and some toys.

She left an abusive relationship. While she does work, it barely covers food, rent and bills, and some months she's had to put a bill or two off. She has no money to furnish her apartment, buy new clothes for her kids, or toys even.

We have been able to pick her up a few things through local ads for free items, but they still have needs.

My priority for helping them: Buy used (in good condition) furniture, clothes, school supplies, for up coming year and an occasional toy.

Families-Part Two

#2) Mother and son (young middle school student). She receives no help from the father, and only receives very little from the state. Her dream is to get off state help. She is taking online courses to better herself with more education. Even if they don't have anymore in the way of money, the pride she says she will feel if she doesn't have to use state help anymore, plus break the cycle her family has been in. (Her parents received help, she is, and she wants her son to not depend on it.)

My biggest priority for helping them: To be able to continue her education and food.

The families-Part One

Since, space is limited per Blog, I will just give a quick blurp about each family.

#1) Family of Four. Much better position now, a few months ago, they were really hurting and worried. The mother has finally found a job, as a private housekeeper and loves it, pay is ok, but there's only so many hours she can get. She is in the process of finding one to two more families to housekeep for. They have shown much progress in getting bills caught up, and trying to save to get a "new used" car, their's is on it's last legs and it hurts financially when they have to put more money back into it. They are saving to just get a decent used car. They really don't want to have to do a "Buy Here, Pay Here" deal, because in the long run, they will be paying much more than hey should. Plus, without car payments, insurance payments will be more reasonable. They are really learning new ways to try to save a buck or two along the way.

Their biggest priority I am trying to help them with is: Water Bill and Saving for car/insurance.
